“Cuisines of Naples” The Italian spread at Marriott suites is an amazing place to be to go into that pure taste of Italy. Marriott has always been innovative and always ready to bring some kickass concepts and dishes in the food grounds of Pune. This attempt is certainly a great one too. We as a Food prowl went for a tasting for this amazing spread and loved every bit of the same. The chef was so humble and we had a lot of interaction with him and it was unbelievable to have food from a man who has been serving in the industry from 30 years. “Cristian Carbera”
The fest will go on till 21st Aug 2016. So you have an amazing weekend to spend at this beautiful place. Below are few highlights from the Menu from Ancient times.
Veg and Non veg Antipasti : So Few things which we have before we actually eat our food those are called Antipasti and which went soo soo well which had meat, anchovies, pickled items which will exite your tummy for the big meal which will come up later. Soups : Seafood Soup Napolian style was very subtle in flavor the sea food flavors were very distinct and flavorful. The overall feel of the dish was superb. “Pasta E Fazool” Creamy veg soup with chopped veggies and cheese overall the feel was creamy and good one for people who prefer vegan food. “ Gnocchi ” Well this pasta was creamy and light as it can get the flavors of tomatoes and cheese was shouting out loud but personally I might not be in love with cos I felt it a bit chewy. “Spagattii Vongol:” Pasta with Clams perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Spagetti was superb in texture and taste. Pizza Spread was also amazing “ Quantrro fromage Pizza” Hand tossed and perfect crisp when they have a wood fir place to grill what can go wrong? Blue and Mozzarella cheese this pizza was a perfection. “Four Season pizza” A representation of the four seasons here perfectly blended in the taste of pizza. Simple yet tasty. Contents were Tomato, Mushroom, Onion, red peppers. “Lamb Shank” Eating with eyes concept applied here this lamb shank were absolutely phenomenal in presentation the sauce the color the steam wow. Lamb was tenser and tasted perfect as it has been slow cooked for more than 8 hrs in wine, rosemary and potato so the flavors were infused and gave absolute pleasure. “Pan seared Sea bass tender veggies in saffron butter sauce”: Great taste of all the veggies cooked with sea bass which gave the dish a new dimension a highly recommended dish here.
Unfortunately due to my Goa trip plan I missed out on desserts but I am sure they must have been fab and you can get a review on Foodprowl.com. So this fest is an amazing thing happened in Pune and a must visit.
