Review : Baan Tao, Hyatt – Pune

“Baan Tao” A paradise for Asian Food Lovers. Foodprowl team visited Baantao for a fresh new Menu tasting which is a part of Hyatt restaurant chains and I feel this is the best one I have ever came across. Let me start with the calm and Asian feel at that place a quiet and serene ambiance in correlation with the cuisine. Best part is the 2 table in front of the Artificial wall-fall. Lovey for a couple to enjoy a sexy evening. #BaanTaoReloaded

FOOD:

“Pumpkin Chips and Prawns chips” were the munchers we started with a distinct flavor of Prawns you can feel in the chips. “Non Veg Dimsum Platter” Beautiful presentation and wonderful taste is what describes this dish the best. All the dimsums were really really wonderful in taste and texture both, freshness of the ingredients made them heavenly. “Mushroom Crystel” Lovely vegan dimsum I have ever had.. “Shabu Shabu” is a Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water. Shabu Shabu derived from the sound emitted when the ingredients are stirred in the cooking pot and served with dipping sauces. The food is cooked piece by piece by the diner at the table. Lovely broth and the customization of sauces will make you go mad over this awesome and healthy dish.

Post the amazing dimsum fest we moved to the appetizers “Chilli Mushroom and Sambal Chilli veggies” Not a very big fan of the Vegan food but if you are looking for a good appetizers and you want to start with these are something you can defiantly consider distinct chilli flavor and well-cooked veggies. “Wok Tossed Prawns” THE BEST PRAWNS I have ever had till date the simplicity of this dish make it a winner of the whole food tasting..The core ingredients like salt and pepper and no nonsense and such a fresh, huge and wonderfulllll prawns. Just Lovely….”RECOMMENDED LIKE CRAZY”… “Pepper Lamb and Chicken in XO sauce” Lovely appetizers again meat perfectly cooked the crunch in lamb and uniqueness of XO sauce makes you drool over these… One more not to be missed on dish is “Yum Ma Muang (Raw Mango Thai salad)” What exotic and fresh dish you will feel like you are eating food which is fresh out of the tree. Lovely fusion of the raw mango and the salad. “Mandarin Poached Chicken salad” If you are fan of Sour then this is the one for you. Chicken poached in Mandarin and lovely sour dressing.

Desserts were the perfect end to a perfect tasting. “Passion fruit Pannacotta and Coconut ice cream” “Papaya Pudding” , “Matcha Tea Opera” A Fancy dish with the theater and chocolate with Tea infused flavors. “Anmitsu” Lovely fresh fruits and Mango ice cream.

I would want to really appreciate the Chef for his creativity and the dedication towards each dish and every detail. Lovely this was….
