Review : Anna Idli – Baner – Pune

Always has been a fan of South Indian food, I mean if it’s not south Indian it can’t be breakfast right…So much of hush hush about this place and I finally make it here. So this place turns out to be not out of the world for sure but can be considered as really well executed. Pulling up the crowd of Baner with plush location and good ambiance which is what people are looking out for…Hope they do good with many south Indian places on the same road.

FOOD:

Singular menu and the same variety cuts through all the food items in vertical like Idli, Wada, Dosa, uttapam etc.

Podi Idli – Supersoft steamy affair served with chatni and Sambar where Idli is cooked in a perticular style which makes it super soft and they serve it with butter. Topi Dosa – Crunchy the way I like it so topi dosa is a perfect snack for you if you are not looking for masala dosa this will also be served with coconut chatni and sambar. Paper dosa – Long and strong beautifully executed and amazing flavors.

They also have varieties like Devenagere Dosa, Khara Pongal, Puliyogare which are the traditional south Indian dishes which will blow your mind for sure. I am gonna be surely revisit this awesome place for the unsatisfied south Indian in me 🙂
