Foodprowl exclusive at Hyatt Pune, We were invited for an italian food festival that they have launched in Pune. Focus is on core Italian dishes and the depth of the same. Right from cheese to the spaghetti everything will be available on the cards. Hyatt being one of the star properties the food does the justice to the place and chef has done wonders in making the food with love and passion.
Cheese Platter was the first one we attacked on, lovely spread of cheese served with crudites and nuts. Antipassti platter was an amazing dish which was basically button tomatoes grilled to perfection and filled with cheese. We also loved the carmalised onion and fig bread it was a good combination. Parma ham and melon is something personally it did not work for me but concept wise it was really brave. Baked fig and goat cheese was a super delicious dish and was most appreciated by the team.
Lamb chops were the star of the whole spread amazingly cooked medium rare and lovely in taste and they have taken their own sweet time to cook it to perfection. Sea bass was superb in presentation and lovely in taste as it was served with parmesan potato and tomato caper anchovy sauce. parsley butter prawn when we saw them sitting on a crab cake what else can you think of other than just putting the whole thing in your mouth.
Though I could not stay till the end but I am sure the desserts must have done wonders as well which were berry cheese cake and panacotta.
